Lunchroom Monitor Substitute (on-call/short notice)

The Lunch Monitor at MSA provides supervision and authority during the student lunch periods. The Lunch Monitor assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the lunch areas. Schedule is 11am-1:20pm on student contact days. We currently only have openings for substitutes that work to cover regularly scheduled lunch monitors or come in as an emergency substitute. Interviews will be scheduled in August 2025. Pay is $16 per

Assistant Track and Field Coach - 3 Openings

Math and Science Academy is seeking three Assistant Track and Field Coaches for the 2026 season. This is a part-time position supporting 6-12 girls’ and boys' track and field teams. The Assistant Coach will help to administer practice, coach athletes, and complete occasional administrative tasks. Must be available for most practices and meets, 4:00pm – 8:00pm, Monday through Friday. Previous coaching experience preferred in the throwing events. Pay range is $2,000 to $2,500 for the season.

Lead Mentor / Robotics Coach – FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team

The Lead Mentor/Robotics Coach provides vision, leadership, and continuity for MSA’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team, working alongside a co-lead mentor to guide the direction of the season, coordinate subteams, and serve as the final authority on leadership decisions. Responsibilities include mentoring student leaders, ensuring compliance with school policies, enforcing behavioral expectations, and serving as the main point of contact for internal and external communications. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a passion for STEM education and youth mentorship. Meeting times are Tuesdays from 6-9pm in the fall and three to four evenings per week starting in January. This role has a stipend of $2,000.

Approximately 75% of this role focuses on direct instruction for multilingual learners, progress monitoring, family partnerships, and MTSS collaboration. The remaining 25% supports schoolwide literacy leadership—including deep expertise in the school’s literacy curriculum, coaching teachers, supporting PLCs, and contributing to professional learning. This position requires expertise in language development, strong collaboration, and the ability to balance immediate instructional support with long-term schoolwide coaching and leadership.
